The Swedish Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, Mr. Benjamin Dousa, stated that the extensive shared history between the two nations would facilitate a beneficial exchange.

On Tuesday, he addressed the attendees at a cocktail gathering in Lagos, which was organized to mark the inauguration of the Sweden Trade Office in Nigeria.

" Tonight, we officially open the new trade office in Lagos. This collaboration will become even more robust. Both nations are well-suited for mutually beneficial exchanges, as new alliances are formed between us. We should unite to create a sustainable future," he stated.

A spokesperson from the Swedish Trade and Invest Council mentioned that the office will forge connections between the two nations due to their shared focus on digitization, innovation, and open trade.

The event was attended by Nigeria’s Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Mr. Atiku Bagudu, as well as Delta State’s Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyene.

The occurrence took place during Crown Princess Victoria Desirée of Sweden’s visit to Nigeria, and she was present at the event.
