Quake Sparks Fears: Is a Major U.S. Volcano Ready to Erupt?

An earthquake was identified merely a few miles from a huge volcano in Alaska that scientists have warned could erupt in the next few weeks.

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) recorded a 3.7-magnitude earthquake at 11:44 AM Eastern Time near Petersville, which is approximately 30 miles northwest of Mount Spurr.

Mount Spurr, a volcano standing at 11,000 feet tall, has shown heightened seismic activity along with changes in the ground’s surface level. These indicators suggest an impending eruption as per scientific assessments. occur within the coming weeks or months .
