On April 1, Majumdar sent a letter to Union Minister Amit Shah concerning the recent incident involving an explosion. West Bengal Dhola is calling for prompt action to make sure those responsible encounter the "complete force" of the legal system.
In his correspondence, Majumdar mentioned that there were indications suggesting the blast might have been intentional and occurred within an unauthorized explosives manufacturing site functioning with "political" backing.

"The occurrence of this incident is indicative of a troubling pattern; West Bengal has witnessed a substantial increase in cases involving illicit weapons and explosive materials, which pose serious risks to both national security and public safety," the statement read. He highlighted the crucial need for identifying where these explosives came from.
"I strongly encourage your esteemed office to request the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to carry out an exhaustive investigation into this explosion. It is essential to identify the source of these explosives, ensure accountability for those responsible, and break down any networks engaged in illegal weapons and bomb manufacturing," according to Majumdar’s letter.
He further stated that West Bengal confronts lawlessness and uncontrolled extremism. The people who live here deserve a safe space, untouched by criminal activities protected by politics.
