Colleen Hoover’s 'Verity': Anne Hathaway and Dakota Johnson Star in Upcoming Theatrical Release

Washington D.C., [USA], March 25 (ANI): The movie adaptation of Colleen Hoover 's novel ' Verity ' featuring Anne Hathaway,' Dakota Johnson Josh Hartnett starring in the leading role has at last received a release date, as reported byDeadline.

The Amazon MGM Studios-led adaptation of Colleen Hoover The author's adaptation is set to premiere in theaters on May 15 of next year. Director Michael Showalter will helm the project. The screenplay has been penned by writer Nick Antosca.

Previously, the script was worked on by Hoover & Lauren Levine, Hillary Seitz, Angela LaManna, and Will Honley & April Maguire. According toDeadline, the movie is being produced by Antosca, Alex Hedlund, Stacey Sher, Showalter, Jordana Molnick, Hathaway, and Hoover.

The film adapts Colleen Hoover's previous work "It Ends With Us," featuring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni as the main characters. This surprise success became one of the season’s hits, grossing over $346 million globally at the box office.

As reported by Variety, Hoover’s novel ' Verity The book was released by the author in 2018 and was subsequently purchased by Grand Central Publishing in 2021.

It has been on the New York Times Best Sellers list for several months and has sold over one million copies in 2023 alone.
