China Boosts Military Presence Around Taiwan: International Watchdogs Take Notice
Taipei [Taiwan], March 29 (ANI): The Taiwanese military reported detecting one mission flight by Chinese aircraft, as well as eight Chinese naval ships and one government vessel near Taiwan up until 6 am local time on Saturday, according to a defense ministry statement.
According to the MND, the sortie traversed the median line and moved into Taiwan's eastern ADIZ (Air Defence Identification Zone).
On a post on X, the Taiwanese Ministry of National Defense stated, “Up until 6 a.m. (UTC+8) today, we identified one sortie of PLA aircraft, eight PLAN ships, and one government vessel operating near Taiwan. One sortie entered Taiwan’s eastern Air Defense Identification Zone. We have been monitoring the situation and taking appropriate actions.”
